βdo what you do best & outsource the restβ |
welcome & thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to learn a little bit more myself & βmyleβ!
To be honest, I was always that organised kid - from the colour co-ordinated stationary Iβd bring to class, to redecorating my bedroom every school holidaysβ¦Iβve always had a passion for organisation & design from such a young age!
Born & raised in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, my life now consists of working as a βclient experience officerβ & social media manager of an allied health clinic & enjoying living an active lifestyle. Iβm now lucky enough to have created my own dream job of helping others through βmyleβ!
The idea for βmyleβ originally began 4 years ago back in 2019 while I was helping out a Mum in the local area with her home organisation. After organising her entire house she asked if I could also list items she wanted sold on Facebook Marketplace for her. This sparked the idea of expanding my services from not just home organisation but to also helping others out with βlifeβ in general. Due to COVID-19 lockdowns & getting a full time job at βThe Little Things in Lifeβ, Iβve only recently picked the idea back up again since having a change in career. I have now built up a client base thatβs keeping me busy all while having fun & finding fulfilment along the way!
The reason why Peter Druckerβs famous line of βdo what you do best & outsource the restβ resonates with me so much is because when I was running a worldwide online store all by myself from my garage while also completing VCE, I didnβt outsource anything. This resulted in a direct negative impact on my business, βBlue Moon Boutiqueβ. If I was able to offload simple βlife adminβ tasks that could have been done by another person, I couldβve truly focused on what my life purpose was & wouldβve had a lot more time to inject into the fast-paced business & online fashion industry. So in order to help prevent anyone else from going through what I went through with the same direct negative correlation between a business owner's productivity & their life passion, thatβs when I knew that I would find so much fulfilment if I created βmyleβ.
As you know, life has its peaks & troughs, so I understand most people canβt commit to hiring an assistant 52 weeks of the yearβ¦but having an extra set of hands around peak times would be handy right?
Thatβs where βmyleβ comes in. No commitments - just reliable & high quality assistance of a wide variety of services when you need another set of hands in your life!
Since I had the need in my own life, I created simple & functional organisational systems for myself to help ease the anxiety over feeling overwhelmed which had an incredible flow on affect to my bigger life passionsβ¦thatβs what I want for you too! My passion through βmyleβ is to create beautiful yet practical systems & spaces for all my busy clients as I want to see them have the extra time to realign their priorities & put time back into the things that matter most to them. Whether that be spending more time with their family or having the extra time to focus on their business.
blue moon boutique
founder, social media manager & business owner
At 13 years young, I started a dropshipping business selling iPod cases to my friends at school on Instagram. Within a few months that quickly turned into an online destination for girls worldwide selling anything from bikinis to clothing to accessories. Within the first 12 months the Instagram page had already gained over 18,000 followers & was growing at a rapid rate. With a fully developed website, Instagram, Facebook & YouTube, I gained over 70,000 followers by the end all while navigating this all on my own. From developing websites, co-ordinating photoshoots, shooting campaigns etc - it was very demanding but very rewarding. My creative passion & work ethic combined with my entrepreneurial drive, quickly became a very successful hobby/business.
I have learnt valuable lessons regarding finance, budgeting, customer communication, achieving deadlines & so much more. Instagram businesses were just starting out back then so there was no guidance available. I taught myself web development, marketing, social media & customer service skills through experience first, then did the textbook education later in life. In 2017, I unfortunately came to a crossroads where I wouldβve had to drop out of school so I sold the business as I was heading into VCE.
the little things in life
social media manager & assistant store manager
In 2020, I developed the website for βThe Little Things in Lifeβ which is a small business located in Eltham, to accommodate the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions so the loyal customers could still get their βretail fixβ. In between lockdowns, we opened another store in the beach town of Parkdale where I was the Assistant Store Manager which included visual merchandising, product buying, internal operations, forecasting & managing the social media channels.
Since taking over their social media pages, I had doubled the original following & increased engagement converting to sales in store & online. Our products have been featuring in 'The Block' on Channel 9 every year since & stock brands like Olivia Newton John's 'Retreatment Botanics' skincare, L&M Home & Joanna Gaines etc
Iβve always had a keen eye for design throughout completing Studio Art & Visual Communications through VCE which led me to study multiple courses such as:
Swinburne: Discover Design Workshop (2017)
RMIT: Interior Design & Decoration Short Course (2019)
RMIT: Visual Merchandising Short Course (2020)
Australian Retailers Association: Certificate III in Retail Management (2021)
